At press time, both political parties were frantically putting the finishing touches to their respective campaigns, which has been focussing on the young people in this country whose future, to a large extent, is the responsibility of this generation, that must establish the foundation for a bright future for them.

In the months ahead, it will be critical that our youth be given the opportunity to re-examine the universally accepted Vision 2030, so that it becomes the bible for social and economic development in this country, to ensure that migration is the least attractive option for our future leaders.

Even the hard working farmer in Flagaman in St. Elizabeth, despite the challenges, not only understands the issues at the community level, but at the national level, which will form the basis for his/her decision in this important general election, as their democratic right is exercised.
