For years, the competent authorities, or should we simply say, the relevant authorities, have been mindful of the circumstances under which consumer products are packaged, in violation of the law and thus continuing to put the public at risk, what is happening here?

According to the President of the Jamaica Manufacturers Association (JMA), consumers of sugar in particular are being exposed to public health risks in the absence of long overdue packaging and labelling standards in the country, but even with standards, can we be assured that someone will enforce these standards in a country that has become so corrupt?

Good God, look how long motorists have been suffering from bad gas and no one can find the source of the contamination, especially in such a highly regulated industry, are you kidding me?  Based on all of the above, where are we really going as a country?
