Last year at this time, most Jamaicans had mixed feelings about 2011, for better or worse, we have survived and by and large we have conditioned ourselves based on the adage that, “Where there is a will, there is always a way” and countries much more advanced and seemingly a lot richer have begun to feel the global economic pinch with their people demonstrating an inability to cope, so we have an advantage there.
The political activities have added a new dimension to the happenings usually associated with this time of the year and whichever party emerges victorious at the polls, we should all commit to playing a more active role in governance, believe it or not, one single person can make a difference, let us all work to make our community a better place.
Let not your heart be troubled, we say 2012, bring it on and on behalf of the Management and Staff of the Mandeville Weekly Newspaper, we wish our loyal readers, advertisers and well-wishers a healthy, prosperous and productive New Year.
