Holmwood Technical High School Students Improving CXC Passes

 

A group of students at Holmwood Technical High School, in Christiana, Manchester, have decided to reduce the concerns of the Minister of Education, Rev the Hon. Ronald Thwaites, about the poor passes at the Caribbean Secondary (CSEC) level across the island.

AGRO-BUSINESS GROUPS RECEIVE EQUIPMENT

tudies have shown that black men have significantly higher rates of prostate cancer and lower rates of screening for prostate cancer. On average, they have more advanced and harder to cure prostate cancer at the time of diagnosis, which results in a greater chance of dying from their prostate cancer. It is for these reasons that the new President of the Rotary Club of Mandeville, Mr. Basil Cameron has decided to assist the Mandeville Public Hospital in establishing a Prostate Unit.

In an interview with the Mandeville Weekly, Mr. Cameron expressed concerns that persons in need of prostate care have to travel to Kingston.

BLACK HISTORY MONTH ACTIVITIES TO LEAD CULTURAL REVOLUTION

 

The Ministry of Youth and Culture will be using the celebration of Black History Month in February to sensitize young people about their rich heritage as part of a campaign to achieve a cultural revolution in the country.
